Eligibility Criteria

Admission to the MBBS and MD/MS programs at our institution is governed by the eligibility criteria set forth by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and the Director General of Medical Education (DGME), Uttar Pradesh. Candidates must meet these criteria to qualify for participation in the admission process via state counseling. The key eligibility requirements are as follows:

Candidates are admitted in the college according to the instructions as given on the website dgme.up.gov.in or upneet.gov.in.

1. MBBS Program Eligibility

  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as core subjects from a recognized board.
  • Minimum Marks: General category candidates must have obtained at least 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology. For SC/ST/OBC candidates, a minimum of 40% is required, while candidates with disabilities need a minimum of 45%.
  • NEET Qualification: Candidates must qualify for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) as per the NMC guidelines for the specific admission year.
  • Age Limit: Candidates should be at least 17 years old as of December 31 of the admission year. The upper age limit is subject to guidelines issued by the NMC and DGME UP.

2. MD/MS Program Eligibility

  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must hold an MBBS degree from an institution recognized by the National Medical Commission.
  • Internship Requirement: Completion of a one-year rotating internship is mandatory for MD/MS admission. The internship must be completed by March 31 of the admission year, as specified by DGME UP.
  • NEET-PG Qualification: Candidates must qualify for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET-PG) as per NMC and DGME guidelines for the relevant admission year.
